When replacing an oil-fed timing belt tensioner with the new style mechanical tensioner, it is imperative that the used belt be removed and replaced with a new timing belt. Due to the differences in dynamic operation, use of a belt that was in operation with an oil-fed tensioner may fail if reused with the new style mechanical tensioner.
Timing Belt replacement during the tensioner modification will come under the warranty information in T.S.B. 01 .93.05. NO extra time will be given.
