In regions of the country that experience high humidity, moisture may . collect on the EPR Valve and drip onto the Engine Coolant temperature ' Sensor. This can affect the sensor and prevent the engine from restarting ... when hot.
Since the engine does not start, codes are not memorized.
The sensor can be "waterproofed" by packing the connector with Dielectric Grease. ( USE NAPA PART # 765-1190 OR EQUIVALENT )
PACK THE FRONT AND REAR OF THE CONNECTOR WITH DIALECTRIC GREASE
