Information: Fuel Filler Hose RECALL 96V-140
Models: All '91 thru '93 164 12V Models

In reference to Recall #96V-140 please proceed as follows with the
replacement of
the Fuel Filler Hose using Kit P/N 60897545.
Cautions: Ensure shop is well ventilated and equipped to operate safely (Fire
Extinguisher, etc.)
Disconnect ground cable from the battery.
NO SMOKING DURING THIS OPERATION!
REMOVAL: Remove right/rear wheel. Remove fuel cap #11 and collar #4 from connector #3. Disconnect vent hose #7 (see B) from fuel filler sleeve #1. Remove lower end of fuel filler sleeve #1, from tank neck (see A). See exploded view below.
Replace with Fuel Filler Hose Kit P/N 60897545. A suitable rubber lubricant should be applied to ease installation onto the tank neck.
NOTE: A Recall verification label will be issued with each Fuel Filler Hose Kit # 60897545. This Recall verification label must be fixed to the inside of the fuel door.
