Alfa 164 Technical Service Bulletin 07.94.02

Information: NEW - Low Speea Cooling Fan Resistor

Models: 1991 thru 1994 164

A new low speed cooling fan resistor and installation kit is now available under p/n 589-4444. This new style resistor is fitted with a 150m long lead and a connector. This resistor is located on the drivers side upper corner of the radiator shroud.

The installation kit # 589-4444 consists of the following:

  1 ) Low speed cooling fan resistor
  1 ) Connector
  1 ) Secondary lock
  1 ) Bracket        
  1 ) Clip
  2) Terminals
  2) Gromment        

Installation is as follows:

1. Disconnect the battery
2. Remove the two wires attached to old resistor and cut off terminal ends
3. Install two rubber gromments onto the wires before installing 2 new terminal ends with the corresponding . connector & secondary lock
4. Replace old resistor with new one
5. Bolt bracket onto shroud (see illustration) to hold electrical connection and use plastic clip to secure wires away from fan

This bulletin cancels and supersedes previous T.S.B. 07.94.01 issued 01/06/94.
