Information: 5 spd Reverse Lockout Cable Noise

In some cases a buzzing sound may be emitted from the shifter at higher rpms. The reverse lockout cable may be producing this buzzing noise. If shifter buzzing is encountered, lift up on the reverse lockout collar. If noise is eliminated, the installation of a vibration dampening "weight" to the cable is needed. Install weight (P/N 96327238) onto the lockout cable at 130 5mm from shoulder of the cable connector which is threaded into the gearbox. See diagram below.
