Where there both a 164S AND a 164Q available in 1995? or did the Q replace the S in 1995?

Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,

The 164Q replaced the 164S in 1994. The two were never sold concurrently. This info only pertains to the US and Canada.

Didn't the LS replace the S in 1994, with the Q being a completely new high-performance version in the USA and Canada?

Nope. LS is just a replacement for L model and Q (Quadrifoglio in USA, Cloverleaf or QV in other country) is simply a replacement model for S (Cloverleaf or QV in other country). Redesign happned in 93 model year but in USA due to large number of unsold stock of 91 models (92-93 models are basically these unsold 91 models) Alfa USA didn't import the newly designed model untill 1994. So Q is simply a sport version of LS, replacing S models of 91-93 and looks just like old S. Only difference between Q and LS is that Q has an adjustable suspension system just like S, same engine as LS but larger intake runners and exhaust system adding 20HP more and retained same body style as old S while LS has redesigned side clading and bumpers.
