""Check Engine" Need help nagivating CarDisc CD"

LAST EDITED ON Aug-25-05 AT 09:11 AM (EST)

I'm going nuts trying to find where on my (1994-1995 24v) CarDisc I can find possible causes for a Check Engine light.

Anybody know which chapter or page to look?

("Check Engine" occasionally comes on when I push the engine a bit before it is fully warmed, though it happened again today on a warm start without any rapid acceleration. Car has no other symptoms and recently passed Smog with a wide margin)

Thanks,
Karl in Silicon Valley

Start with this off digest tech notes http://www.digest.net/alfa/FAQ/164/94motron.htm

On CD go to lists and select electrical manual then put in page 547 to get Motronic M1.7 section and page forward.

Pull your codes with key on and pushing accel pedal 5 times in less than 5 seconds and go from there. Count flashes on check engine light.
