So the car has just failed its MoT due to a faulty hazard light switch. Everything else fine though (pretty remarkable!)Nothing happens when the switch is pressed.
BUT, if the right turn indicator is activated with the column stalk, the hazard switch flashes when pressed on but only the right indicators actually flash and only the right turn icon flashes on the instrument panel. When I switch the column stalk to signal left, the hazard switch is unresponsive again. Left and right indicator lights all work normally. Although, actually the right indicators have recently been intermittently not working.
Where is the fault? Switch, column stalks, or relay? Any input would be greatly appeciated...
Car is UK 1996 24v Cloverleaf.
Thanks in advance,
Chris.
