The 164 LS and 164 Q are the most prestigious vehicles in the 164 range and holds first place in the present Alfa Romeo production. It embodies all the technological innovations which have characterized the improvements in the engine performance, handling, comfort, function and reliability.
The 164 LS model offers the most refined and advanced equipment for a top class car and externally can be distinguished by new bumpers and side fascias which give it that dynamic look of an individual personality though preserving that touch of sobriety; the 164 Q is the sports version, equipped with the most powerful engine of the range and distinctly recognizable by its wide front and rear spoilers and the skirts accentuating its aggressive stance.
For both models, the refinements have been carried out with regard to comfort, employing more detailed studies of the ergonomics of the passenger compartment and with the greatest respect for the environment; the 164 LS and 164 Q are equipped with all the devices necessary to ensure that they conform to the severest emissions laws imposed by the USA. Safety has also been scrutinized and the introduction of the ABS 2, the most technologically advanced system so far and reinforcing cross-members on the wings have made a considerable contribution.
Active safety is guaranteed by the mechanical components geared to the high performance of the 164 LS and 164 Q and to the high output from the new 3 liter engine with 60o V-mounted cylinders with dual overhead cam shafts and four valves per cylinder.
